P6 Shared Education

Mrs McDermott's class are working alongside Mrs McKeown's Primary 6 class to study aspects of our local area.  As a part of our World Around Us topics we are studying local government and the historical importance of Necarne Castle/estate.  To assist with our research we invited Mrs Breege McCusker to talk to us about the history of Necarne.  She provided us with a wonderful insight as to what life was like in Irvinestown, and more specifically Necarne during the periods of War.  The children were so intrigued as Breege mapped out the life of Nora McElholm, who has a bench named after her on the estate.
