Christmas Tree Display in the Bawnacre Centre
Visit the Bawnacre Centre to see our wonderful Christmas Tree made from plastic milk bottles. Our tree is made form 214 milk cartons, one painted by each child in our school. The tree itself represents the growth of our children, and the star at the top, their many achievements.
It is the job of a school to prepare our children for their futures. We are committed to ensuring that we protect our beautiful planet for future generations and that we teach our children love and respect for our world.
Our tree is made entirely of recycled materials, symbolic of our commitment to reducing the build-up of plastic in the world. We have decorated our tree with Arctic and sea creatures as a reminder of those most affected by irresponsible plastic waste.
The top section of our tree is made of two triangles, one represents the Holy Trinity of our faith, and the second, our appreciation of our strong home, school and parish links.
We have decorated our tree with baubles made from the bottle tops we collect for charity. They represent the many charities we support. We believe it is important to our children generosity of spirit, in getting involved and helping others who need support both in our locality and the world.
